Neoway Supports HarmonyOS Development in Longhua, Advancing the Shift From “Open Technology” to “Co-Built Scenarios”
Time:2025-12-04

The Longhua District HarmonyOS Ecosystem Empowerment Conference was held Nov. 26 in Shenzhen, China, marking a key step in Longhua’s adoption of the HarmonyOS ecosystem. Officials attending the event included Wang Wei, Vice Mayor of Shenzhen and Party Secretary of the Longhua District Committee; Lei Weihua, Deputy Party Secretary of the Longhua District Committee and District Mayor of Longhua; Zhang Jun, Deputy Director of the Administrative Services Data Management Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality; Ma Junmei, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission at the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology; Zhang Zhi, Member of the Standing Committee of the Longhua District Committee and Director of the District Party and Government Office; and Ma Bing, Deputy District Mayor of Longhua.

As a vice-chairing member of the HarmonyOS + RISC-V (OR) Alliance, one of Longhua’s top ten benchmark HarmonyOS projects, and a deep participant in HarmonyOS ecosystem development, Neoway Technology joined the conference and presented its latest innovations in HarmonyOS-based terminals and ecosystem empowerment. The display highlighted Neoway’s strengths in open collaboration and scenario-driven enablement throughout the HarmonyOS adoption process.

HarmonyOS has emerged as a “third option” in the global operating system landscape and is reshaping the digital foundation of modern cities. During the ecosystem build-out, Neoway has served as both a technical enabler and a scenario implementation partner, aligning with the deep integration trend between IoT and AI. The company actively supports Shenzhen’s strategy to promote HarmonyOS industrialization and is committed to applying HarmonyOS + RISC-V (OR) terminals across diverse industry scenarios, helping customers accelerate digital and intelligent transformation.

At the conference, Neoway showcased a portfolio of HarmonyOS + RISC-V (OR) terminal products spanning multiple sectors. Among its HarmonyOS modules, the Neoway LTE Cat.4 module S720 became the first HarmonyOS smart module to pass State Grid electric power testing. Neoway’s RISC-V–based LTE Cat.1 communication modules are also among the first to be commercially deployed in China. Neoway is partnering with OpenHarmony- and RISC-V–based ecosystem companies and chip vendors to scale up investment and achieve full OR support across its module lineup, enabling downstream industry customers to access the HarmonyOS system in a single step. In device products and solutions, Neoway demonstrated multiple HarmonyOS-empowered innovations. Its HarmonyOS smart emergency vehicle light provides real-time positioning, automatic alerts in the event of accidents or breakdowns, and a high-intensity flashing signal visible over 1,000 meters, helping prevent secondary accidents and improving emergency response efficiency. The HarmonyOS anomaly monitoring device detects risks such as building or bridge collapse, landslides, and tailings dam failures, offering smart early warnings and reducing reliance on manual inspections.

In the public-sector domain, Neoway has deeply integrated HarmonyOS technologies into both platform-side and terminal-side applications within its mature urban IoT sensing system. This enables full-scenario HarmonyOS terminal access and application across smart city use cases. The solution has already been incorporated into the urban IoT sensing system plans of several cities and will be promoted in domestic and international regions committed to advancing HarmonyOS-enabled smart city development. The goal is to build new model cities and set new industry benchmarks.

Neoway will continue strengthening joint R&D and scenario co-creation with the HarmonyOS ecosystem. Through product innovation and ecosystem collaboration, the company aims to empower industries of all types to accelerate their digital and intelligent transformation.
